Electric cars at Jüke are climate neutral on the road, because they are charged with solar power from the company’s own photovoltaic system. The switch from petrol engines to electric cars is the first step towards sustainability and will be further promoted at Jüke. But it is not only electromobility that is being brought forward; the company’s entire energy consumption will be managed in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. “It is our goal to be energy independent in about 2 years,” says Martin Hovestadt, Managing Director and Shareholder of Jüke. The next step towards this goal is the third building expansion, which will be implemented this year. This will not only create additional space, but also expand the photovoltaic system on the roof. Jüke is aiming to be able to produce its own energy requirements. At least when the weather is right.
