The aim is to have an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001, which is why Jüke is taking part in the district-wide Ökoprofit project this year. As is clear from the name, the aim is to harmonize ecological and economic corporate goals. Jüke wants to use valuable resources responsibly, protect the environment and reduce costs at the same time.

In the current phase of the project, there has been an initial audit by the consulting companies WESSLING GmbH from Altenberge and B.A.U.M. Consult GmbH from Hamm. “We have received a bundle of documents and worksheets that now need to be processed. This marks the beginning of the active process towards environmental management.”, pointed Michael Uesbeck, project leader at Jüke, out. In the further progress of the project, there will be regular meetings with the consultants and the other participants of Ökoprofit. “We exchange ideas in the project team, support each other and give each other tips on how to reduce water and energy consumption, avoid waste or improve the overall carbon-footprint. Here, the central aspects of the supply chain law of environmental, labor and human rights responsibility have strong weight.”, makes Stephan Bannierink clear.

A powerful Ökoprofit team has been formed at Jüke. Michael Uesbeck, Head of Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs, Stephan Bannierink, Head of Procurement and Logistics and Max Jürgens, Assistant to the Managing Director will manage the project, carry the measures into the staff and support the company on an ecologically responsible path for the future.
