Modular System
for Automated Breath Test
The system is a leading analyzer for the ¹³C urea breath test for the quantitative diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori, a widespread bacterium associated with gastric ulcers and stomach cancer. The device works as a detector for the non-radioactive ¹³C isotope marker based on infrared technology. The autosampler unit adds a modular extension to the system that enables automatic processing of sample tubes. This allows urea breath tests to be performed at higher throughput, with up to 120 sample positions per run – automated and reproducible.
